Getting ready for the Mount Kinabalu climb
Yesterday, I was having dinner with a group friends, some whom I will be climbing Kinabalu with, and two who have already summitted Mount Kinabalu some time back, and we chatted regarding getting prepared for the climb, in terms of equipment.
According to the experienced, it would be terribly cold during the trek, especially during the summit climb at 2am on the second day. They recommended that we get the type of wool caps (I don’t know if there is a specific name for it), and gloves and really be prepared for very cold weather!
Since later today I will be going off to Melbourne for a holiday (its winter in Melbourne now), I thought - might as well buy the necessary winter wear today! So this morning I went and purchased my gloves and wool cap… and my friend bought me a scarf! Looks like I’m all set for all the winter wear I need for the holidays!
