I’m going to Berkelah… again!

Two weeks ago, Cynovate held a peer mentoring camp for Ngee Ann Poly (See photos here!)… and the camp was simply fantastic! Well done guys! Anyway, they were very satisfied with the camp and guess what? They asked us to organise a trek for them!

So we thought and we decided – we going to Berkelah waterfalls! Well.. its AGAIN for me. I’ve been there like 4 or 5 times during my stint in NUS Rovers, and I even remember packing my backpack into the examination hall, so that I can leave for a Berkelah recee right after the paper! Yah.. and I personally dipped the exam paper into the “cool waterfalls of Berkelah!” Heh! It was fun!

Then again, its been sometime since then. Like almost a year… or even more than that! Time flies! I’ve moved on to the longer treks like Stong and Taman Negara during my second half of my Rovers times, even though I still went back to Lombong a couple of times after.

Well, so happy I’m going back again! I wonder how the toilet has evolved. There is a joke about the evolution of the toilet – the first time I went, it was just a cubicle with no doors. Second time, there were doors. Third time, there was a flush. Fourth, there were taps… so I wonder if I will see an air con toilet when I get there in May! Who knows, there might be someone sitting there collecting 20 cents!

So looking forward to it!

I had no idea the toilets were as bad as China’s! I think even China’s toilets these days (I visited in the ’90s) must be better… But yes, the toilets of 3rd world regions are evolving aren’t they!
