NTU Adventure Trial Challenge!

I just received the email from NTU Sports Club regarding this year’s Adventure Trial Challenge! I guess I will be taking part again, with the same group of people from Rovers!

Well, I’m not the type who wins in such races - I’m just another cannot-make-it one lagging among the last! But I think the idea is just to get out and spend time together with a couple of like minded close friends for one day. Its not the race that matters, its the fun, all the chatting along the way. I think that goes the same for trekking. Its so fun going with the same group of people! Which mountain we go does not really matter - its the company! In fact, its the same group of four people going to the adventure race, and Kinabalu, and Gunung Tahan!

I have another friend also from the Rovers executive committee - and he started by organising one of the trips trekking in Cameron Highlands. After that, the group (which he brought up) really stuck together and went with him for many other treks! Its impressive what a few nights out in the wilderness can do to bond people isn’t it? And that, I feel, is one of the essences of of outdoor education!
